More pieces of the BSP puzzle are finding their place. We’ve recently added two Search Consultants to the team. Meet Fred Broome and David Loyed.

Fred Broome

For over two decades, Fred has served local churches in a variety of capacities. He has served as a Children’s Pastor, Middle School Pastor, and is currently the Lead Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Republic, Missouri.

Fred has been part of the SBC for more than thirty years and is passionate about the local church. He loves bringing revitalization to churches and ministries in need. As someone who has years of experience pastoring in small and large church contexts, he understands and empathizes with the needs of churches of all sizes. He also loves college basketball, fishing, and the beach.

Fred holds a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Lindsey, and they have six children.

David Loyed

David  has served in full-time ministry for more than twenty years, holding roles as Children’s Pastor, Family Pastor, and currently as Adult Discipleship Pastor at Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama, where he oversees the Groups ministries.

He is passionate about discipling believers and equipping them to make disciples through an intentional and accountable process. Outside of ministry, David enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including fishing, diving, and hiking.

Over the course of his career, both prior to and during ministry, David has hired more than 100 individuals, with a strong emphasis on finding the right fit in terms of character, competence, and chemistry within organizations.

David holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Joyce, and together they have three children.
