For over 20 years Jason has served in full-time ministry in multiple capacities including student ministry, college ministry, missions ministry, and as a Lead Pastor, and for the past 3 and a half years, he has been an Associational Mission Strategist at the Greater Cleveland County Baptist Association in Shelby, NC.

Jason grew up in a small SBC church and has spent his life serving in SBC churches of varying sizes and contexts in Kentucky and North Carolina. Jason is passionate about leading churches to experience new life through pastoral and leadership development. After leading a 10-year-old church and a 168-year-old church on revitalization journeys, he is excited to see God do it again with every church he engages. In his current role, he advises and consults for churches of every size in his association regarding staffing, training, planning, and leadership development. When he’s not working, Jason enjoys reading, football, and getting outdoors.

Jason holds a bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University, an M.Div. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and is currently completing his Th.M. and working on his Ph.D. in Christian Leadership from Southeastern. He is married to Laura, and they have 3 girls.
